The first step in the retro-fit project is for our engineers to design a new, quiet and efficient
water pipe system. Type “K” certified copper pipe is installed as it is the heaviest gauge copper piping available. We also use other certified plumbing piping material. Next, a plumbing and building permit is obtained from the Municipal Hall. An informational evening is held for the residents at which point they will be briefed on the project, introduced to our staff and have the opportunity to ask questions. The residents will then be given material that outlines the procedures and the process before any work takes place within the suites. Each resident will be given notice of entry into their suite in advance, along with a detailed summary of work to be performed. Residents will be kept informed during the duration of the project, and reports will be posted as work progresses. Every effort is made to have the minimal number of water shutdowns and residents will be given prior notice to the shutdowns. Upon completion of the retrofit project, as-built drawings showing the location of all piping and valves installed, a copy of all inspection reports from the municipal inspectors and a full briefing on the operation of the new piping system is provided to the Building. |
